Cleo Sexton Freeman

Cleo Sexton Freeman, 84, of Calico Rock, formerly of Leachville, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at Manila Nursing Center. She was the widow of Ralph Sexton and Troy Freeman. Born at Fifty-Six, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Belle Holt and had lived most of her life in Calico Rock and Leachville. She was a long-time member of the Assembly of God Church.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Lester Sexton, four brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by two sons, Ervin Sexton and his wife, Rose, of Leachville and Troy Sexton and his wife, Mary, of Calico Rock; two daughters, Ester Thomas and her husband, Bo, of Oxford, Ark., and Hester Pitts of Calico Rock; a brother, Alden Holt and his wife, Nina, of Mountain View; and 12 grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Monday at Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Russell Rhodes officiating. Graveside service followed at 3 p.m. at Optimus Cemetery at Calico Rock with Rev. Mark Wheeler officiating.
