Barbara Ann Davenport

Barbara Ann Davenport, 65, of Manila, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at her home. Born at Evening Shade, she was the daughter of the late William A. Evans and had been a longtime resident of Grubbs and Weiner before making her home in Manila in 1961. She was retired from American Greetings in Osceola after 25 years of service and an active member of Blackwater Baptist Church near Manila.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Buddy Oneal Davenport.

She is survived by her husband, Bud Davenport, of the home; a daughter, Pam Moore, of Manila; her mother, Johnnie Sandefur of Sulphur Rock; a brother, Alford Evans of North Little Rock; three sisters, Marie Lunsford of Malvern, Lucille McKinnzle of Sulphur Rock, and Linda Brown of Batesville; and two grandchildren, Codie Moore and Heather Kisner.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
