The Lions put together one of their most complete games of the season in rolling up 363 yards of total offense, led by quarterback Dillon Burrow, who accounted for five of Manila's six touchdowns.

Burrow finished the night with 97 yards on the ground and four rushing touchdowns, completed 7-13 passes for 133 yards, and caught a 29 yard touchdown pass to cap off a remarkable night as the freshman finished with 259 yards of total offense.

Corning took an early 8-0 lead, driving 31 yards in six plays, capped off by a seven yard touchdown run by quarterback Cory Henderson at the 2:53 mark of the opening quarter. Kody Pierce galloped in for the two point conversion run. Corning's touchdown was set up when the Bobkitten defense stopped Manila on a fourth and five at the Lion 31 yard line on Manila's first possession of the game, giving the Bobkittens excellent field position.

The Lions answered on their next possession with a five play, 63 yard drive of their own, topped off when Burrow scampered in from 25 yards out with just 37 seconds left in the quarter. Burrow's two yard conversion run knotted the game at 8-8.

Manila blocked a Corning punt on the Bobkitten's next possession, and took the lead for good five plays later when Burrow scooted around left end from three yards out with 3:48 remaining before half. Jordan Brewer's two yard conversion run gave the Lions a 16-8 lead. The big play on the drive came on a 28 yard pass from Burrow to wide receiver Shane Lee.

The Lions weren't finished, scoring their third touchdown in a row as time expired to end the first half, when Dylan Bogle took to the air, hitting Burrow on a 29 yard halfback pass. Burrow eluded several would-be tacklers on his way to the end zone, giving the Lions a 22-8 halftime lead.

Burrow tacked on a nine yard touchdown run at the 3:27 mark of the third quarter, completing a six play, 65 yard drive. Brewer's 20 yard run and a 22 yard pass from Burrow to Bogle highlighted the scoring drive, giving Manila a 28-8 lead.

Manila took advantage of a huge break on the ensuing kickoff when Brewer recovered a Bobkitten fumble at the Corning 43 yard line. Burrow scored seven plays later on a beautiful 18 yard run, as the quarterback bobbed and weaved his way through several Bobkitten defenders for the touchdown. Burrow hit Lee on the two point conversion pass, and Manila was up 36-8 with 7:51 left in the game.

Corning put together a nine play, 60 yard scoring drive of their own when Bently Masterson scored on a nine yard touchdown run with 3:56 left. Hunter Cole's two point conversion run cut the Manila lead to 36-16.

Brewer capped off the night's scoring with a 63 yard touchdown dash down the right sideline for a 42-16 Manila lead with 3:38 left in the game.

"It was a sweet win for us," said Manila Coach Jason Durham. "It's been a couple of weeks since we have had a conference win. We had a good week of preparation and were ready to play. Burrow had an amazing touchdown run right before half. I don't know how he got into the end zone. He had another good run in the second half, which was a carbon copy of the one right before the half. Corning fooled us on their first touchdown drive with the offense they ran, but we adjusted and did a real good job against them the rest of the night. We swarmed to the football and got penetration from our defensive line, and that's where it all starts."

Brewer went over the 100 yard mark, finishing the night with 123 yards on just seven carries with one touchdown. Tucker Miller had two carries for eight yards, while Lee finished with three carries for two yards. Bogle was 1-1 for 29 yards and a touchdown through the air. Lee led all receivers with three receptions for 47 yards. Bogle caught two passes for 43 yards while Burrow had one catch for 29 yards and a score. Brewer snared one pass for 14 yards.

The Lions finished the night with 230 yards on the ground and 363 yards of total offense.

Corning rushed 36 times for 206 yards, but was held to just three yards through the air. Ty Prater went 1-4 for three yards through the air with one interception while Henderson was 0-1 passing. Dale Smith led the Bobkittens in rushing with 12 carries for 69 yards while Masterson rushed five times for 46 and Pierce rushed three times for 44 yards.

Manila (3-4, 2-3) will return home, hosting Piggott Thursday night in another conference battle. Kickoff is slated for 7:00.
