Elva I. Stewart

Elva I. Stewart, 89, died Sunday, October 05, 2008 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born Oct. 24, 1918 in Monette to the late John and Mary Bronaugh.

Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Taylor of Lake City; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Orville Stewart; a son, Orville Stewart Jr. "Wink"; two sisters and three brothers.

A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at the Macey Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Reed officiating under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Lasting memorials be given to the Lake City United Methodist Church or the church of their choice.
