Reeds to celebrate Golden Wedding Anniversary

Reverend Jerry and Margarete Reed of Monette will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 5, in the fellowship hall of the Monette United Methodist Church with an afternoon drop-in from 2-4. The reception will be hostessed by their daughters, Angie Dunigan of Jonesboro and Coral Sutterfield of Bono.

Jerry and the former Margarete Siebenborn were married on Sept. 2, 1958, in Cologne, Germany, at the local registrar's office, according to German law.

The Christian ceremony followed on Oct. 4, 1958, at St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Cologne-Rath-Heumar and was performed by the pastor, Dr. Leuken.

The couple has five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Everyone is invited. The couple requests no gifts.
