I am not sure, but I think there is a good chance that James (Jimmie) Hodges, Jr., was from Manila. He was killed in the Battle of the Bulge in World War II approximately Dec. 16, 1944.
I would like to locate some family members. If alive, Jimmie would be about 84 years old; so it is unlikely that a parent would be still living. His father was James Hodges, Sr., and I think he was a mechanic. I believe Jimmie attended what is now Arkansas State University before his Army service. He was in K Company, 393 Infantry Regiment, 99th Infantry Division before his death.
I would appreciate any help you can give to locate any family members.
