Patsy Ruth Stotts, 75, of Jonesboro died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born in Black Oak and had lived in Jonesboro since 1981 moving to Jonesboro from Glendale, Calif. She was a graduate from Arkansas State University receiving a degree in radio/television. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a member of the 4th Quarter Club of First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Evan Stotts, Sr. and Edythe Johnson Stotts; three brothers, Evan Stotts, Jr., Charles Stotts, and Billy Stotts; and two sisters, Wanda Bush and Betty Almeida.

Survivors include her son Gary Dobbins and wife, Connie, of Marmaduke; a daughter, Judy Abernathy and husband, David, of Jonesboro; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 8, at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Patty Soward officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements with private burial.
