James Green of Waco, Texas, was recognized for traveling the farthest.
After 44 years when old friends were seeing each other again comments included, "Now who are you; so good to see you again; and I have thought of you often."
Shelia Bearden Fortenberry put a lot of effort and time making a lot of telephone calls making the reunion come together and making 44 years seem like yesterday.
The reunion was captured on film as disposable cameras were placed on the tables for everyone to use. Fortenberry took the cameras, had a CD of all the pictures made to send to all the classmates.
"We had a wonderful time," Brenda Laffoon said. "The food was great at the Lazy J and they provided 1950s music for us."
Another reunion is being planned for next year by Danny Brown and Don Covey. Everyone said they are looking forward to seeing more people at the 45th reunion.
