The Buffalo Island Central School Board accepted the resignation of Mike Bridges and Lyndsey Lamberson at the July 14 meeting.
Following a closed session to consider personnel matters, the board approved several personnel changes.
Reassignments included Terry Rose from second grade to East to elementary physical education; Julie Hatch from junior high to senior high social studies; Mark Hurst from 7-8 grade social studies to 8-9 grade social studies; Frankie Turner from full time elementary physical education to 7-8 social studies and two periods of elementary physical education (east campus); Nancy Spencer from a West bus route to an East bus route; Cary Cossey from boys assistant coach to girls assistant coach; and Kevin Cable and Cary Cossey for West bus route.
The board voted unanimously to hire Gary Holliman as health instructor and boys assistant coach; Katrina Haustein for junior high special education; and Stacey Hargrove for second grade elementary position.
In other business:
*The board voted that students must follow the honors curriculum course of study to be eligible to be honor students and 24 credits be required of all graduates (effective with the class of 2010).
*The contract length of Tina Fowler form 12 months to 10 months plus $4,116 for administrative duties as pre-k director; pay Kellie Russell $4,000 annually for concession operation and extra custodial duties; and set junior high and senior high principal salaries at $70,000 each for the 08-09 school year.
