Lake City clerk recognized

Linda Simpson, clerk/treasurer of Lake City, received a certificate of appreciation award at the 74th annual convention of the Arkansas Municipal League recently held in Hot Springs. This award is given to those who serve on board or committees for the first time.

She also received two scholarships. Both will be used to attend Municipal Clerk's Institute at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in September.

One scholarship, $400, was from the Arkansas City Clerks, Recorders and Treasurers Association (ACCRTA). The second scholarship in the amount of $300 was from Municipal Clerk's Education Foundation (MCEF).
