Drs. Ian and Kristi Wiechert of Colorado Springs, Colo., have been promoted to the rank of major in the United States Air Force.
The promotion ceremony was held on May 27 at the United States Air Force Academy. Attending the ceremony were Kristi's parents, Roy and Paul Pack, of Lake City and Dr. Lee Ann Pack of Prince Edward Island, Canada. Also in attendance were Pete and Jane Wiechert of Colorado Springs.
Major Kristi Wiechert is a graduate of Riverside High School, Arkansas State University, and Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Major Ian Wiechert also attended LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating LSU, Ian and Kristi did their internship at Atlantic University on Prince Edward Island, Canada. The following year they were at Kansas State University.
Major Kristi Wiechert is now stationed at the United States Air Force Academy and Major Ian Wiechert is stationed at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs.
They are the parents of two children, Anja Leigh, 1, and Kai, 3.
