A.K. May, 51, of Gosnell died Sunday, June 15, 2008, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville after an extensive illness. Born Oct. 7, 1956 in Moro, Ark., to the late Albert King May and Gladys Marie (Knight) May, he was a Mississippi County resident, worked as a sawmill operator in the logging industry, and was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Kathleen May of Gosnell; a son, Luke May and wife Rhonda of Judsonia; three brothers, Robert May of Moro, Jim May of Cherry Valley, and Larry May of Batesville; a sister, Earnestine Self of Palestine; and a granddaughter, Kathleen May of Judsonia.

Mr. May was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, Jerry Wayne, Danny, James, Tom, Lloyd, Floyd May; two sisters, Pauley Thomas and Shirley May.

Services were June 18 at 2 p.m. at the Salem Methodist Church in Moro. Burial was in at Moro Cemetery.

Faith Funeral Service of Manila was in charge of arrangements.
