Members of the Manila School Board met in a short special session following graduation Friday, May 16.
The board voted unanimously to give non-recurring salary payment (bonuses) in the amount of $1,000 to certified staff; $500 to full time classified staff and pro-rated for part-time employees; and $150 for non-contracted bus drivers.
The total amount of bonuses is $133,815.
Board member Steve Metheny asked if the funds, in all probability, would become part of the next year's salaries if the funds are available.
Superintendent Pam Castor said it would be looked at closely.
"Hopefully, we will come back strong in our enrollment numbers," she said.
