Deloris Irene Bowman

Delores Irene Bowman, 69, died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at her residence. She was born Sept. 11, 1938, at Monette to the late Ira and Mildred Nettles. She retired after 27 years with General Electric. She was a member of Lake City United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Stanley Bowman of the home; two sons and their wives, Ron and Denise Bowman of Jonesboro and Mark and Teona Bowman of Caraway; a brother, Wendell Nettles of Cabot; four sisters, Norma Lou Spurlock of Lake City, Mary Sue Moore of Monette, Joyce Mize of Batesville and Sharon Lock of Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Lauren Bennett and Lindsey Bennett, both of Caraway, and Wesley Tittle of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Clayton Nettles.

A celebration of her life was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Gregg Funeral Home Chapel of Monette with the Rev. Jerry Reed and the Rev. Gary Wiles officiating. Burial was in Monette Memorial Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Ira Spurlock, Wesley Tittle, Jim Bowman Jr., Mark Ridge, John Houston Ridge and Michael Smith, and as honorary pallbearers, the members of Lake City United Methodist Church, Michael Mize, Brian Lock and Louis Nettles.
