Ena La-Don Riggs

Ena La-Don Riggs, 44, of Blytheville, died Monday, May 5, 2008, at her residence after an extensive illness. Born Oct. 17, 1963, in Blytheville to Allen D. Shields and Carol Wicker Harris, Ms. Riggs was a long time area resident of Mississippi County.

Survivors include her mother, Carol Wicker Harris of Blytheville; her father, Allen D. Shields of Oak Hill, W. Vir.; two daughters, Heather La-Don Riggs and Erin Lee Maynard, both of Blytheville; three brothers, Jeff Law and Mark Wicker of Blytheville, and Tony Meatte of Daytona Beach, Fla.; seven sisters, Jodie Luttrull and Rhonda Thaxton, both of Blytheville, Shelley Bradley and husband David of Steele, Mo., Pam Hartz and husband Paul of Mishawaka, Ind., Sonya Arrieta of Kansas, Tonya Sharp and husband Jason of Lillington, N.C., Natasha Young of Belton, Mo.; a special friend, Joe Bryant; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Ms. Riggs was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Marvin and Mildred Wicker; paternal grandparents; and a niece, Whitney Rose Law.

A private visitation service was conducted by Faith Funeral Service of Manila. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice c/o Carol Harris, 100 West Davis Street, Apt. 3, Blytheville 72315.
