Tuckerman ended Buffalo Island Central's hopes of a state tournament bid by pounding out a 10-0 shutout of the Mustangs Saturday afternoon at Tuckerman.

Bulldog right hander Hunter Finney fired a perfect game, striking out 13 Mustangs. Finney mowed down all 15 batters he faced to improve his record to 9-2 on the year.

Tuckerman struck for three runs in the first inning. Trevor Stevenson drilled an RBI single to left field for the game's first run before Finney slapped a two-out single up the middle to make it a 2-0 game. Tyler Cornwell's bloop single into short left field knocked in the third run of the inning to put the Bulldogs ahead 3-0.

Tuckerman tacked on two more runs in the second when Stevenson drilled his second RBI single of the game and Chris Clark blooped an RBI hit to right field, giving the Bulldogs a 5-0 advantage.

Tuckerman picked up a run in the fourth on an infield hit and a throwing error, and put the game away with four runs in the sixth inning, including back to back homeruns off the bats of Stevenson and Clark. Trevor Adams sent everyone home with a two-run hit that invoked the mercy rule, giving Tuckerman the 10-0 win.

Tervor Matheny went the distance to take the loss, allowing all 10 runs on 13 hits. The senior fanned five and gave up four walks.
