Dempsey Theadore Wilson, 71, died Thursday, April 24, 2008, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born May 25, 1936, at Paragould to the late Hermon and Emma Wilson. He was of the Pentecost faith and worked for Singer Co. for 25 years, then Delta Wood Co. for 12 years where he retired.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Drew Wilson, of the home; two daughters, Deborah Heckman, and husband, Philip, of Lake City, and Tonya Sullivan, of Jonesboro; three brothers, Vernon Wilson and Dennis Wilson, both of Trumann, and Ruddy Wilson of Kennett; two sisters, Barbara Donner and Joan Dawson, both of White Oak; and five grandchildren, Jonathan Sullivan, Anthony Sullivan, Christopher Sullivan, Kaitlyn Heckman and Lindsey Heckman.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters.
A celebration of his life was held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Gregg Funeral Home Chapel of Jonesboro with Rev. Harold Anderson officiating. Burial was in Pine Log Cemetery.
