Jonesboro

Anna Elois Harbin Brown, 89, died Monday, March 10, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Place. She was born in Herget to the late Marvin and Agnes Harbin, where she was the oldest daughter of 15 children whom she helped her mother raise. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Central Baptist Church and worked at Arkansas State University in the museum at the information desk. She loved her family and friends. She had a keen sense of humor and loved to share her wisdom.

Survivors include her three daughters and sons-in-law, Sue Bell of Jonesboro, Mary Ann Minton and Bennie of Milligan Ridge, and Fran Stotts and Chuck of Bismarck; three grandsons, Mark Bell of Memphis, Justin Minton of Blytheville and Michael Minton of Manila; two sisters, Beatrice Burnett of Dardanelle and Susie Kyzer of Beebe; seven great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alva A. Brown; a grandson William G. "Bill" Bell; a son-in-law, Bill Bell, and 12 brothers and sisters.

A celebration of her life was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Gregg Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Bro. Waymon Holt officiating with burial in Manila Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Chuck Stotts, Michael Minton, Justin Minton, Gerald Brown, Claude Greer and James "Buddy" Greer and serving as honorary pallbearers were Mark Bell, Lynn Erwin, Beverly Erwin, Ed Noell, Letha Noell and Mike Martin.

Lasting memorials may be sent to the Building Funds at Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro or Milligan Ridge Baptist Church.
