Riverside Jr. Quiz Bowl finishes second in state

Riverside Junior High Quiz Bowl team competed in the AA State Regional Finals Quiz Bowl competition on Saturday, Feb. 23, in England finished second.

There were 16 teams competing in the final round of state competition. Riverside fell to McCrory in the final round losing by only five points.

The teams defeated Murfreesboro, Clarendon, Bigelow, Tuckerman, and Parker's Chapel before falling to McCrory.

Team members include Amanda Morley, Captain, Luke Moyer, Kayleigh Wilson, Cody Williams, Bekah Frayer, Teylor Hill, and Logan Meurer. Other team members include but not competing were Kyley Campbell, Taylor Boness, and Jake Emery. The riverside judge was Scott Dunkerson and the team was coached by Brenda Hutcheson.
