Two Lake City residents were among 48 St. Bernards employees who were recognized for their years of service to the medical center at a recent quarterly employee recognition dinner. Honorees included those whose employment anniversary dates came in the last quarter of 2007 and whose length of service fell into five-year increments.

The individuals accounted for nearly 700 years of service to St. Bernards, with 11 having been on staff for five years, 14 for 10 years, eight for 15 years, seven for 20 years, four for 25 years, two for 30 years, one for 35 and one for 40.

Employees represent 10 different towns and communities in Northeast Arkansas. Thirty-four are from Jonesboro; one each from Bay, Colt, Harrisburg and Trumann; and two each from Bono, Brookland, Lake City, Paragould and Walnut Ridge.

Mary C. Gibson was honored for 25 years of service, and Karen S. Adams was recognized for five years' service. Gibson works in dialysis, and Adams works in the coffee shoppe at St. Bernards.

Honorees received plaques and service pins.
