Roy Dale Blocker, 53, of Manila, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at his residence. Born in Leachville he was the son of the late Franklin Blocker. He was a 1973 honors graduate of Eau Claire High School in Eau Claire, Mich., and had lived in Manila since 1993.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Shirley Blocker, and a sister, Debbie Churchill.

Survivors include his mother, Noma Jean Helton; a brother, Robert Wayne Blocker, of Manila, and a sister, Katrina Boles of Buchanan, Mich.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Lulu Cemetery near Senath, Mo., with Rev. Mark Wheeler officiating, under the direction of Howard Funeral Service in Manila.
