Riverside built a 39-10 halftime lead and went on to blow out Gosnell 60-28 in senior girls basketball action Friday night at Lake City.
Kelsey Turner celebrated senior night, leading Riverside with 14 points, including four three pointers. Fellow senior Kassie Douglas added 11 points while juniors Brianna Driver and Katey Campbell added 11 and 10 points respectively.
Riverside, who hit 14-16 free throws and finished the night with six treys, also got five points from Michelle Cobb. Morgan Emery netted four, Holly Dudley added three while Kailey Holt contributed two.
Eureka Sing led Gosnell with 13 points. The Lady Pirates were 9-18 from the charity stripe and made one three pointer.
Riverside began the week by thrashing Marked Tree 68-38. Driver led Riverside with 21 points while Campbell scored 14 and Dudley added 10. Holt netted nine, Douglas scored seven, Emery tallied four while Cobb added three. The Rebels were 13-19 from the free throw line and made five treys.
Deziree Tull and Amelia Stacy led Marked Tree with 10 points apiece. The Lady Indians hit 11-26 foul shots and made one trey.
Riverside jumped to a 13-1 lead but couldn't hang on as the Lady Yellowjackets rallied for a 53-45 victory Tuesday night at Bay.
The Lady Jackets outscored Riverside 15-2 in the second quarter to take a 16-15 lead at the half. Bay stretched their advantage to 29-24 after three periods.
Driver led Riverside with 16 points while Cambell added 13. Turner scored eight, Dudley netted five while Emery added three. Riverside hit just 6-15 free shots and made three treys.
Mehgon Mink led Bay with 17 points while Jordan Ferguson scored 12 and Lacy Staten added 11. Bay finished the night 24-29 from the foul line and hit five three pointers.
