The Lady Rebels swept a pair of 2A-3 conference games last week, beating Crowley's Ridge Academy 58-44 Monday night at Lake City before picking up a 58-40 win over Turrell on the road Friday night.
Riverside drilled nine three pointers, including five by senior guard Kelsey Turner, in their win over CRA. The Lady Rebels held a 30-16 lead at the half and stretched their margin to 46-29 by the end of the third quarter.
Turner finished as the top scorer for Riverside with 15 points while Katey Campbell also hit double digits with 11. Brianna Driver netted eight, Michelle Cobb tallied six, Holly Dudley dropped in five while Morgan Emery tallied four. Kailey Holt and Christy Ward scored three points apiece, Kassie Douglas contributed two points while Ashley Calvert added one to round out the Riverside scoring. The Lady Rebels were 12-16 from the foul line.
Bethanie Johnson hit four treys and scored 15 points to pace the Lady Falcons. Treka Freer added 10 more for CRA, who finished 13-24 as a team from the foul line while hitting five three pointers.
The Lady Rebels put four players in double figures in their 18 point win over Turrell Friday night. Morgan Emery led the way with 18 points while Kailey Holt and Brianna Driver pitched in 13 points apiece. Katey Campbell contributed a double-double, scoring 12 points while adding 10 rebounds for Riverside, who improves to 15-9 overall and 9-3 in conference action.
Riverside held an 18-10 lead after the first period and stretched their margin to 33-14 by the half. The Lady Rebels took a 44-27 lead into the final frame.
In junior high action Riverside picked up a pair of wins, defeating CRA 31-21 before downing Turrell 39-23.
Seventh grader Lauren Weaver led Riverside with 15 points in the win over the Lady Falcons. Kendra Staggs had seven, Rebbekah Frayer netted four, Kyley Campbell and Beth Anne Snyder tallied two points each while Taylor Boness added one.
Weaver poured in 22 points in Riverside's win over Turrell. The Lady Rebels improve to 18-5 overall and 10-2 in 2A-3 conference action.
Riverside will return to action Monday night when they play host to Cross County at Lake City. The Lady Rebels will finish the week when they travel to Earle for a Thursday night conference battle.
