Riverside rolled to a pair of 2A-3 conference home victories last week, knocking off Earle 66-48 Monday night while finishing off the sweep with a 71-44 win over Marked Tree Thursday night.
The Lady Rebels bolted to a 28-8 lead over Earle in the opening quarter and never looked back en route to their mercy winning victory over the Lady Bulldogs. Brianna Driver poured in a game high 19 points to pace Riverside against Earle while Katey Campbell also hit double figures scoring 11 points.
The Lady Rebels carried a 38-17 lead into the dressing room at intermission and stretched their margin to 63-31 entering the final period, invoking the mercy rule.
Morgan Emery pitched in eight points while Kassie Douglas, Holly Dudley and Kailey Holt all scored six points apiece. Christy Ward netted five, Kelsey Turner tallied three while Michelle Cobb added two points to round out the Lady Rebel onslaught. Riverside connected on 25-34 from the foul stripe and hit one three pointer.
The Lady Bulldogs were led by Breanna Wiley who scored 19 points, 17 coming in the second half. Diamond Southern added 11 more for Earle, who hit just 2-9 foul shots. The Lady Bulldogs nailed four three pointers on the night.
Junior Katey Campbell led Riverside past Marked Tree with a game high 15 points while Morgan Emery also hit double digits with 11. The Lady Rebels held a slim 15-12 first period advantage but upped their lead to 28-21 by the half. Riverside outscored Marked Tree 25-7 in the third quarter to blow the game open.
Holly Dudley and Michelle Cobb scored nine points each while Brianna Driver and Kailey Holt chipped in seven points apiece. Seniors Kelsey Turner and Kassie Douglas scored six and three points respectively while Katlin Brewer and Ashley Calvert chipped in two points apiece.
Deziree Tull led Marked Tree with 20 points while Amelia Stacy added 10 more to pace the Lady Indians.
In junior high action, Riverside matched the senior Rebels with a pair of victories of their own, first downing Earle 38-17 before defeating Marked Tree 43-32.
Lauren Weaver scored a game high 29 points in Riverside's 11 point win over Marked Tree. Kyley Campbell scored six points while Taylor Boness, Brittney Douglas, and Allysia Thibodeaux added two points apiece. Kayleigh Wilson and Rebbekaah Frayer added one point each.
Alytrius Perry scored 15 points while Quandedin Perry chipped in 10 more to lead the Lady Indians.
Riverside placed 10 players in the scoring column in the Lady Rebel's victory over Earle. Kyley Campbell led the way with nine points while Kendra Staggs and Lauren Weaver scored six and five points respectively.
Riverside received four points each from Brittney Douglas and Rebbeka Frayer while Taylor Boness, Beth Anne Snyder, Allysia Thibodeaux, Kayleigh Wilson and Teylor Hill all scored two points apiece to round out Riverside's scoring.
The Lady Rebels finished the night 6-20 from the foul line and hit two three pointers.
Riverside will return to action on Monday night when they play host to Bay in a crucial 2A-3 conference match-up.
The Lady Rebels will begin play in the Northeast Arkansas Invitational Tournament at 3 p.m. on Friday against Maynard.
