Boyd Alfred Davidson, 48, of Lake City, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at Memphis Medical Center. He was born at Des Moines, Iowa, into the family of Boyd Cecil Davidson and Pansy F. Spencer Davidson. He was employed by Hendrix Auctioneer's and Realty Co. and was a member of Woods Chapel Church.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Davidson of the home; a son and fiancee, Myron Davidson and Jennifer Boyd of Lake City; a daughter and husband, Diane and Bo James of Caraway; four grandchildren, Hannah and Bailey James and Gunner and Hunter Rainwater; and a brother, wife and son, Bryon, Kim and Jordan Davidson of Evansville, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Clara Spencer and Bud and Bessie Davidson.
Active pallbearers were Andy Trindad, James Tucker, Larry McAnally, Mike Watson, Marvin White and Perry Cope. Honorary pallbearers were Terry Smith, Junior Hendrix, Mike Cope and Larry Parnall.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Monday in Roller-Farmers Union Chapel with Rev. Jerry Thompson officiating. Burial was in Pine Log Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.
