J Ogden Williams, 87, of Monette, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, at his residence. He was born Dec. 6, 1919, to the late Willie and Melva Williams. Williams was a member of Black oak Baptist Church. He was a farmer and taught piano for several years. He enjoyed doing genealogy.
Survivors include a niece, Karen Keaton of Cary, N.C.; and two great-nephews, Adam Jackson and Ryan Jackson.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lucy Williams; and a brother, Park Williams.
A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Monette Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Rusty Bird officiating. Burial was under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Qualls, Cade Qualls, Wyeth Spikes, Wade Spikes, Scott Rolland, Kevin Seymore and David Tapia.
