Osceola

Shirley Farley, 75, of Osceola died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, in Manila. Born Tuesday, Sept. 6, 1932, in Caraway to Isaac Eli and Emma Mae Overman, she was a member of Osceola Church of Christ. She was a college graduate of Arkansas State College with a Bachelor of Science in Education and an elementary teacher for 10 years at Missco, Caraway, and Osceola.

She is survived by three daughters, Gail Ramsey of Caraway, Robin Singleton of Blytheville, and Allyson Eller of Cordova, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Briley Singleton of Jonesboro, Laurel Hatch of Caraway, Tice Singleton of Blytheville, and Keegan Eller of Cordova, Tenn.; a great-grandchild, Easton Hatch, of Caraway; and a brother, Ruben Overman of Paragould.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin "Pug" Farley, and a brother, Frank Overman.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. today (Tuesday), at Roller-Swift Chapel with Johnny Hester officiating. Burial will follow in Monette Cemetery.
