Charline Bowers, 85, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, at Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City. She was born Sept. 30, 1922, in Pocahontas to the late Eli and Hazel Campbell. She was a homemaker and a member of Lake City First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Vaunda Bowers of the home; two daughters, Karen Anderson of Collierville, Tenn., and Hazel Ann Strickland of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Phillip Gathright and Malisa Klug; and great-grandchildren, Al Klug and Olivia Gathright.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Larry Owens officiating. Burial was in the Monette Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Roland Cobb, John Crews, Chuck Bowers, Mike Hook, Danny Qualls and Buster Campbell.
