Lake City
Shirley Layton, 61, of Lake City died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007.
Survivors include her mother, Earline Franklin of Jonesboro; a daughter, Terri Simmons Miller of Lake City; a brother, Matthew Hobbs of St. Louis; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Ray Franklin and a brother, Lonnie Ray Franklin.
A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hardin County, Tenn., with David Baker officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah.
