Charles Hermon Mofield, 66, of Manila, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born March 2, 1931, in Mississippi County to Hermon Mofield and Leona Goldman. He was a handyman. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Manila.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Blackwell.
Survivors include six sisters, Betty Foster of Manila, Judy Smith of Harrisburg, Debbie Barnes of Manila, Sharon Sparks of Joiner, Cathy Stallings of Cave, and Wanda McBride of Wilson; and two brothers, Charles Albert Mofield of Dyess and James Mofield of Keiser.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Church of Jesus Christ in Manila with Brother Rudy Burrow and Brother Keith Stokes officiating. Burial was at Bassett Cemetery under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola.
