Alonzo Fleeman, 100, of Manila, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at Manila Nursing Center. Born in Mississippi, he was the son of the late Jesse and Nancy Riggs Fleeman and had been a longtime Manila resident. He was a farmer, landowner and member of the First United Methodist Church in Manila.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Osborne, in 2000, 11 brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his son, Harold Fleeman, of Puxico, Mo.; a granddaughter whom he raised, Janet Davidson, of Manila; six other grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
The family asks those wishing to leave a lasting memorial to consider the American Red Cross in Blytheville.
