Riverside boys shut out old nemesis East Poinsett County 4-0 while the Lady Rebels battled to a 2-2 tie as both teams remained unbeaten in high school tennis action Thursday afternoon at Lepanto.

Riverside swept all three singles matches on the boys' side, led by Cody Richardson's 6-4 win over Chris Stover at number one singles. Garrett Weaver shut out Kyle Tomlison

6-0 at the number two slot while Nick Bagley came away with a 6-2 win over Ben Stover at the number three spot.

In the only doubles match of the day, Riverside's unbeaten duo of Glen Graham and Casey Hook pounded out a 6-0 win over the Warrior tandem of Matt Powell and Lando Bass.

Riverside improves to 3-0 on the season

The Lady Rebels split both singles and doubles matches with the Lady Warriors as their record went to 2-0-1 on the year.

Kailey Holt defeated EPC's Hailey Shankle 7-5 in number one singles play before Candace Dorris squeezed out a 7-5 decision over Riverside's Taylor Boness at the number two position.

The Lady Warrior team of Sabrina Bentley and Stephanie Steakley came away with a 6-3 win over the Lady Rebel duo of Morgan Emery and Katey Campbell at the number one doubles spot before Riverside's Christy Ward teamed with Holly Dudley to down EPC's Carla Kemp and Kelly Sadler by an identical 6-3 score in number two doubles.

Riverside will put their undefeated streak on the line with three matches this week. The Rebels travel to Trumann for a Monday afternoon match with the Wildcats before taking on conference rival Crowley's Ridge Academy in a 4:00 match Tuesday afternoon at Lake City.
