Jennie Belle Otts celebrates 100th birthday

Four generations of the family of Jennie Belle (Tillery) Otts gathered at the Stevens Inn recently to celebrate her 100th birthday. She was born June 6, 1907, in Malvern, to Walter and Mamie Tillery.

She married Clarence Otts April 6, 1926. They were married 65 years when he passed away Oct. 14, 1991.

Family celebrating with her include: her daughter, Frances Otts Merrit and husband, Art; her son, James Otts and wife, Mary Lou; granddaughters Sandi Merritt Jones and husband Dudley, Vicki Otts Brown and husband Ken, and Kathy Otts Shuttle and husband Melvin; great-grandchildren Haley Merrit Jones, Kara Brown Sullivan, and Aaron Suttle and fiancée Kami Lesher.

Unable to attend were Matthew Sullivan (husband of Kara Brown Sullivan), and great-grandchildren Erik Brown and Michael Suttle.

Rev. and Mrs. Clarence Otts pastored the Assemblies of God Church in Monette for several years. Their children graduated from Monette High School.
