Caraway

Ruth Beatrice Ward, 93, of Caraway died Saturday, Aug. 04, 2007, at Lakeside Nursing Center.

She was born in Black Oak to the late Bob and Maude Wilson. Bea loved being a nurse and her family. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. Her grandchildren lovingly called her Nanny Ted. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Mildred and Matt Hurst of Caraway; two sisters, Laverne McGowan of Bernie, Mo., and Lorene Pyle of Jonesboro; a brother, Dr. F.M. Wilson of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, Ted Ward; a daughter, Glenna Rose Walker; two sisters, Josephine Mueller and Lillian Smith; a brother, Everette Wilson; two great-great-grandchildren, Weston Thorn and Emma Thorn.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Monette Memorial Cemetery with the Bro. Joe May officiating. Burial was under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Pallbearers were Dr. Jeremy Hinton, Justin Hinton, Chris Riley, Scotty Thorn, Bryan Pendegraft and Brandon Pendegraft.
