Riverside's junior girls and boys claim runner-up finishes in 2A-3 Conference track meet

Kyley Campbell claimed the Overall Points Championship, leading the Lady Rebels to a runner-up finish at the 2A-3 conference track meet May 10th at Parargould. Earle nipped Riverside with a winning total of 119 points, three better than the Lady Rebel's 116.
Campbell picked up first place points in three events, including the triple jump, shot put, and as a member of the 3200 meter relay team. Campbell also placed second in the 800 meter run.
Campbell jumped 26'-6" to edge teammate Rebekah Frayer in the triple jump. Campbell edged out Earle's Simone Miller in the shot put with a throw of 29'-2". Miller came up an inch short with a throw of 29'-1". Campbell, an eighth grader, teamed with Michelle Cobb, Kayleigh Wilson, and Taylor Boness to help lead Riverside to a win in the 3200 meter relays.
The Lady Rebels also got a first place performance from Frayer, who claimed the 100 meter dash with a time of 13:40 seconds, along with a runner-up finish in the long jump.
Cobb grabbed a first place finish, winning the 1600 meters with a time of 6:57 to hold off teammate Kayleigh Wilson, who finished second with a time of 7:07.
Riverside picked up a third place finish in both the 400 meter relay as well as the mile relay events. Frayer, Brittany Douglas, Kristin Carner and Teylor Hill comprised the 400 meter team while Boness, Campbell, Cobb and Wilson made up the mile relay team. Cobb also picked up a third place finish for the Rebels in the 800 meter run and finished fourth in the triple jump. Wilson and Kelsey Boatman finished fourth in the 800 and 1600 meter runs respectively.
Riverside received points when Campbell finished fifth in the long jump while Boness picked up a point with a sixth place finish in the shot.
The junior boys also finished as conference runner-ups behind meet champion Earle. Jake Love recorded Riverside's lone first place finish, winning the 400 meters with a time of 1:00, edging out teammate Bradley Fletcher who was a second back at 1:01.
The Rebels got a second place finish from Taylor Pittman in the 110 meter hurdles. Riverside also finished runner-ups in both the 3200 meter and mile relay events. Bryan Poe, Austin Davis, Jake Love and Josh Driver composed the 3200 meter unit while Fletcher, Cody Stallings, Dewayne Schrader, and Chris Hood made up the mile relay team.
Riverside received a third place finish when Fletcher finished third in the 800 meters while the Rebel's 400 meter relay team consisting of Pittman, Fletcher, Love, and Daniel McCormick grabbed a third place finish.
Driver finished fourth in the triple jump as well as the shot put, McCormick was fourth in the high jump, Pittman took home fourth in the 200 meters while Hood was a fourth place finisher in the 1600 meter run. Josh Anderson finished fifth in the both the triple and high jumps. Love was sixth in the long and high jumps while Fletcher was sixth in the triple jump. Cody Williams ran sixth in the 1600 meters while McCormick finished sixth in the 200 meters.
