Calvin Lebren Watson, 64, of Manila, died Monday, May 21, 2007, at his home. Born at Manila, he was the son of the late Benny Lebren Watson and was a lifelong Manila area resident. He was a retired farmer, a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Manila, and an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Phyliss Watson, in 2004.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Brenda Christie Watson, of the home; a son, Jeff Watson, of Steelville, Mo.; a daughter, Karla Watson Bright, of Manila; his grandchildren, Joshua Morris of Manila, and Blayr Watson of Steelville, Mo.; his mother, Juanita Bernice Beal Watson, of Roseland; and a brother, Charles Watson, of Caraway.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Gary Morris and Rev. Ray Dill officiating. Burial was in Manila Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Corey Crain, Larry Williams, Jim Ed Robins, Robbie Pearson, Jackie Hill, and Fred Burks.
