Robert F. "Bob" Miller, 75 of Monette, died Monday, May 21, 2007. He was born on July 5, 1931. He was a member of the Monette First Baptist Church, a past Sunday School teacher, RAE leader and was on various committees of the church. He was a retired farmer, past Monette School Board member, Monette City Council member, Craighead County SACS Committee and Cub Scout Master. He served in the United States Army in Korea and was a member of the Monette American Legion Post. He was also a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents, J.R. and Edna Miller; an infant son, Robert Miller, Jr., and a brother, Raymond Miller.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Robins Miller of the home; a daughter, Cindy Baldridge of Leachville; a son, Bryan Miller of Grady; three grandsons, David Steele of Monette, Matthew Steele of Jonesboro and Chris Miller of Gulfport, Miss.; a granddaughter, Stephanie Baldridge of Leachville; a great-grandson, Evan Steele of Monette; two brothers, James Miller of Jonesboro and Jack Miller of Leachville; a sister, Mary Wallace, of Monette; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Monette First Baptist Church with Rev. Rusty Bird and the Rev. Captain Lovell officiating. Burial was at the Monette Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Pallbearers were David Steele, Matt Steele, Chris Miller, Mike Wallace, James Paul McCord, Dennis Gathright, Gordon Miller and Allen Finch.

Honorary pallbearers were Wendell Gadberry, Tony Garcia, Dewayne Couch, Mike Estes, Dennis Cobb, Clint McCord, Dustin Finch, Bradley Wallace, Rodney Miller, Stan Miller, Cole Hawkins, Wesley Sandusky, Greg Miller, Shawn Nance, Ronnie McCord, Gene Gathright, Justin Hawkins, Mark Hawkins, Blake Sandusky, Seth Whited, Jerry Hannah, Maurice Homes, Bob Hurst, Bondail Austin and Dave Pierce.
