Wes Wagner, attorney at law, has joined his father, Wayne Wagner, attorney at law, and his brother, Tommy Wagner, M.D., at the offices located at 434 West Highway 18, Manila.
The joint venture started a few years ago as the two young men were looking to the future following medical school and law school.
They purchased almost three acres for the building site.
Tommy opened Wagner's Family Clinic in July 2005. The clinic is located in the center offices with Wagner's Law Firm on the north end, and Jackson's Pharmacy on the south end.
Wayne Wagner has had his law office in Manila since 1983 and moved his practice to the new site.
Wes is a 1997 graduate of Manila High School and a 2001 graduate of Arkansas State University. He graduated from the University Of Tulsa College Of Law with a J.D. Degree. He worked part-time in the office for a year and is now working full time in the Manila office.
Wes said he started college working on a science major. While in college he switched to business and after taking a couple of business/law classes he became interested in pursuing a law degree.
Both Tommy and Wes said they never questioned coming back to their hometown to practice. They enjoy taking time out of their busy schedules to have lunch together.
Wes said he is enjoying working with his dad.
"His experience and knowledge are priceless," Wes said.
Wes has worked in family law, wills and trusts, property law, contracts, insurance claims, DWIs to speeding tickets, and helped his dad with prosecution cases for Manila and on a part-time basis prosecution cases for the City of Blytheville.
Since he has been in practice he has had the opportunity to help with several adoptions. He said he enjoys helping people.
Both Tommy and Wes agree confidentiality is extremely important in the medical field and the field of law.
Wes said he has enjoyed working and meeting people throughout the area not only through the law office but through campaigns.
Their mother, Charolette Wagner, is serving her first term as State Representative. Their dad is a former State Representative serving 12 years.
The brothers are quick to express their appreciation to their parents for all of their support and encouragement.
"Mom keeps us all straight. She is the keel of the ship," Tommy said.
"I appreciate all of the support since I've opened my practice in Manila," Dr. Wagner said. "We have seen a steady growth and are entertaining the idea of bringing in a partner."
Wes said he has been very pleased with the reception he has received since opening his practice in Manila and is looking forward to the future.
Both Wes and Tommy make their home in Manila and continue to be a part of the community they grew up in.
