Caraway Masonic Lodge hosted a potluck supper and open house on Thursday evening, April 19, and honored two members in a special recognition service held afterwards.
John King, Lodge master, paid honor to Dalton Taylor for 50 years of service as a member by presenting him with a 50-year symbolic Masonic pin. Cleffie Gipson, Senior Citizen site director, attached the pin to Taylor's shirt during the ceremony.
Johnny Boatman was presented with a Masonic Apron for his service as Past Master of the Caraway lodge. Jeff Rea, the second recipient of a Past Master Apron was unable to attend the service.
Lodge Secretary and Treasurer Bernard Berry gave an update on the lodge's activities during the past year, and invited guest to join the lodge. The Caraway lodge meets the second and fourth Thursday evening of every month at 7:30 p.m., at the lodge.
The Caraway Masonic Lodge was formed in 1935 and has met continuously ever since. Lodge members take a very active part in the community.
