Stirl P. Thomas, 91, of Caraway, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at his residence. Born in Stonewall, on Sept. 15, 1915, he was a farmer and of the Pentecostal belief.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Minnie Jones Thomas; a daughter, Virginia Bullard; two granddaughters, Jacylyn Corn and Christy Bullard; four brothers, Alvie Thomas, Freddy Jones, Orly Tarpley and Dallas Jones; four sisters, Pearl Tarpley, Dollie Thomas, Violet Brown and Velva Cleveland.
Survivors include his children, Stirl E. Thomas of Arbryd, Mo.; Ronnie Joe Thomas of Cleveland, Tenn.; Wanda Stone of Orlando, Fla., and Mary Gage of Berryville; 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A celebration of his life was held at 2 p.m., Saturday at the Caraway First Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Stevens officiating. Burial followed in Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.
