Mae Lillie Jean Cupp, 78, died Monday, March 5, 2007, at her home in Paragould. She was born Nov. 11, 1928, in Dunklin County, Mo., the daughter of the late Doc and Blanche McClearn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Cupp; three brothers; and two sisters.
She worked at Gibson's until it closed and then worked at Wal-Mart for 15 years. She and her husband were two of the founders of Grace United General Baptist Church, where she was also the children's church director for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Kay Cupp of Paragould; sisters, Billie Rowland of Paragould, Mary Cude and Brenda Holt, both of Leachville; aunt, Lucille Monk; granddaughter, Tamara Baughn of Jonesboro; and great-grandchildren, Jake French and Isabella Baughn.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Heath Colonial chapel with Rev. Royce Schanda officiating. Burial was in Greene County Memorial Gardens.
