Charles "Red" Whitaker, 76, of Blytheville died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006, at Memphis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and longtime employee of Dilldine Farms.

He leaves his children, Margaret Layne of Dell; Archie "Bob" Whitaker and wife, Doris, of Alicia; Betty Whitaker of Jackson, Miss., and Tammy Priddy and husband, Billy, of Dell; two brothers; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery at Blytheville. Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville was in charge of arrangements.
