Monette

Zachary Aaron Whited, 23, of Monette died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, at his home. Born in Jonesboro on Nov. 10, 1983, Zach was a farmer, duck guide and had a flying service. He was a member of the Monette First Baptist Church. He was very active with the Ducks Unlimited, Delta Water Fowl and Wildlife Preservation, was an avid outdoor hunter, fisherman and water sportsman.

He graduated from Buffalo Island Central in 2002, where he was active in basketball, student council, National Honor Society, golf, Future Farmers of America, High School Who's Who, college scholarship recipient and attended Arkansas State University.

Survivors include his parents, Roy and Debra Wallace Whited, and a brother, Seth Whited of the home; his grandparents, Mary Frances Wallace, Leroy and Letha Whited, all of Monette, P.D. Wallace of Cherokee Village.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Monette First Baptist Church with Rev. Rusty Bird and Rev. Captain Lovell officiating. Burial was at Monette Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Pee Wee Gathright, Gary Angelo, Bob Cornish, Benny Smithee, Justin Hawkins, J.C. Helms, Bradley Wallace, Kimberley Wallace, Dustin Finch, Mark Hawkins, Josh Whited, Blake Sandusky, Micah Thompson, Julie Thompson, Heath Hawkins, Heather Sandusky Short, Chad Jackson, Blake Hawkins, Brian Webb, Allie Whited, Dr. Walter Short, Ricky Williams, Jack Gathright, Mitchell Davis and Todd Emison and the Buffalo Island Central Class of 2002 and Senior Boys Basketball Team of 2002.

The family requests anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the Monette First Baptist Church or NEA Clinic Charitable Foundation.
