Lloyd Bibb, 77, of Monette, died Thursday, November 23, 2006, at his home. Born in Monette on June 29, 1929, he was a farmer for 56 years and was an army veteran. Mr. Bibb had been a member of the Monette Co-op and the Monette American Legion. He was of Baptist belief.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Alta Dowless Bibb.
Survivors include his wife, Blanche Threlkeld Bibb of the home; two sons, Rodney Lloyd Bibb of Little Rock and Roger Threlkeld Bibb of Monette; one sister, Frankie Adams and one brother, Bobby Bibb, both of Monette; three granddaughters, Brittney Nashe Lemmons of Pickett, Arkansas, Jordon Ashley Elizabeth Bibb and Katie Lee Ann Bibb both of Monette and one great-grandson, Ashton Lemmons of Pickett.
A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, at Monette Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Gregg Fuenral Home at Monette.
Pallbearers were Gary Bledsoe, Leland Dowless, Fred Dowless, Stephen Pendergrass, Noble Cullum, Herbert Cullum, Ernest Cornish and Ricky Smithee; and as honorary pallbearers, Paul Baker, Allen DeWitt, Glen McMinn, Jim Qualls, Rudy Snider, Alvis Snider, Clarence Cornish, Ronnie Qualls, Jody Brown, James Pendergrass, Earl Sparkman and Rusty Thompson.
