The theme at Bay last week was "Beat Buffalo Island Central" but for three quarters it looked as though the Mustangs would spoil the Yellowjackets plans. However senior Garrett Bollinger led a fourth quarter rally as the 'Jackets posted an 85-77 come from behind victory Friday night at Bay.

BIC held a 43-39 halftime lead and went into the fourth quarter clinging to a 58-57 advantage. The Yellowjackets (7-1, 2-0) outscored the Mustangs 28-19 in the final frame to pick up a crucial 2A-3 Conference victory.

Bollinger scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Jackets while Tyler Q. Griffin poured in 20 points, including five three pointers. Tyrone Harris scored 15 points while Jesse Harris added 10 more.

Garrett Qualls scored a game high 27 points to lead four Mustangs in double figures. Terry Roach scorched the nets for 25 points while Jordan Phillips and Lance Davis added 13 and 10 points respectively for BIC, who falls to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in 2A-3 league play.

In senior girls action, the Lady Mustangs rolled to a 70-42 win over Bay as Jessica Shepard pumped in 27 points, pulled down 11 boards and grabbed six steals to lead the BIC onslaught. Sammi Fowler and Kasey Garrett chipped in 14 points apiece. The Lady Mustangs led 35-25 at the half and held a 61-30 lead after three quarters.

In junior high action, the BIC boys rolled past Bay 57-35 while the Lady Mustangs posted a 41-27 victory over the Junior Lady Jackets.

BIC will host Riverside in both boys and girls action Tuesday night at the Monette Athletic Complex. Tipoff for the first of four games is set for 4:30.
