Nicky Allen Bunch, 47, of Manila, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at his home. Born in Blytheville, he was the son of the late Junior W. Bunch and had been a longtime Manila area resident. He was a 1977 graduate of Manila High School and a U.S. Army veteran having graduated from Officer Candidate School and achieving the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, serving with the Airborne Rangers and Special Forces. He was a retired maintenance mechanic with Viskase in Osceola.

Survivors include his son, Carl Richard Bunch, of Manila; his mother, Velma Hillhouse Wilson, of Manila; a brother, Anthony Bunch of Yellville; a sister, Cynthia Bunch Smith, of Jonesboro; and a very special friend, Cindy Carter Bunch, of Jonesboro.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. Matthew Collier officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Stacy Henry, Tracy Purser, Doug McCormick, Rodney Henry, Paul King, Eddie Morris and Thurman Hitchcock.
