Clifford Eugene Ballard, 54, of Monette, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at his home. Born at Monette, he was the son of the late Gerald Edgar Ballard, and a lifelong Monette resident. He was a graduate of Caraway High School and retired from Kiech-Shauver Gin Co.

He is survived by a daughter, Karrie Dowdy, and husband, Bryan, of Trumann; his mother, Dorothy Thomas Ballard, of Monette; two brothers, Hubert Ballard of Monette and Jerry Ballard of Gosnell; two sisters, Linda Dozhier of Jonesboro and Sharon Barks of Monette; and two grandchildren, Bryce and Laci Dowdy of Trumann.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Monette Cemetery with Rev. Andy Price officiating.
