Mary Ida Waugh - Falkville, Ala.

Mary Ida Waugh, 71, of Falkville, Ala., died Saturday, July 1, 2006. She had lived in Caraway until moving to Falkville six years ago.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. "Pank" Waugh;' two sons, Jerry Waugh and Larry Waugh; two great-granddaughters and two sisters.

She is survived by five sons, Charles Waugh of Avendale, Ariz., Ricci Waugh of Caraway, Jimmy Waugh of West Virginia and Mike Waugh and Jody Waugh, both of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a daughter, Melissa Waugh Harris of Falkville; a brother, Jessie "Bud" Pennington, of Fort Wayne; a sister, Bonnie Hensley of Texas; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Caraway United Methodist Church with Sister Loretta Books officiating. Burial was in Caraway Cemetery and Emerson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Sons and grandsons served as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Waugh and Doug Harris.
