Linda Joyce Staggs - Jonesboro

Linda Joyce Staggs, 61, of Jonesboro died Monday, June 26, 2006, at her home. She lived much of her life in Lake City, moving to Jonesboro nine years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God Church at Lake City.

Mrs. Staggs was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Nellie Merritt Stone; a brother, James Stone; and a sister, Barbara Nell Stone.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Staggs of the home; her son, Billy Staggs of Jonesboro; two daughters, Vickie Stone of Trumann and Kathrine Staggs of Jonesboro; seven brothers, Clarence Stone of Trumann, Larry Stone of Manila, Carl Stone of Memphis, Tenn., Tommy tone, Tony Stone, Jerry Stone and John Stone, all of Leachville; four sisters, Naomi Brewer of Jonesboro, Gladys Snow of Monette, Wava Jones of Calico Rock and Brenda Barger of Leachville; and two grandchildren.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Leachville Cemetery with Brother Steve Crawford officiating. Emerson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers were William Morgan, Tim Stone, Gary Sanders, David Hotchkiss, Gregg Stull and Bob Morris.
