Hazel Bernadine Bare, 93, of Lake City died June 18, 2006, in Jonesboro. Born April 22, 1913, in Albion to the late Delbert Tait and Flossie Green Tait, she married the late Max Bare on June 24, 1939, in Henderson, Ky. She was a homemaker and a member of Bellmont Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Russ Shain of Jonesboro; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Virginia Bare of Fredericksburg, Vir.; and two grandchildren, Kevin Shain of Virginia Beach, Vir., and Susan Shain of Fort Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Harold Tait; and a sister, Helen Copeland.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Nale's Funeral Home in Albion, Ill., with Carolyn Dillon officiating. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery at Albion.
